OCR CASINO NIGHT
Owasso Community Resources will be holding their annual Casino Night benefit on Saturday, April 14, at Bailey Education Foundation.
Guests will be entertained with a variety of Table Games hosted by professional dealers including Craps, Black Jack, Roulette and Texas Hold’em. 
The annual silent and live auction has many baskets with items donated by local businesses in support of the organization.
 Tickets are available at Owasso Community Resources for $100 per person/$150 per couple. With the purchase of each ticket, guests will receive $50 in Casino Fun Money. 
The evening will begin with a 6 p.m. reception of heavy hors d’oeurves, cash bar, and their traditional “Bottomless Wine Glass and Beer Mug.” 
This year, guests will also have the opportunity to purchase a VIP pass for a Texas Hold’em table for the night. VIP pass includes a reserved seat, additional $100 in Casino Fun Money and a private bartender. VIP passes are available first come first serve and can only be purchased at the event.

COMMUNITY GARDEN WORK DAY
The Owasso Community Garden, located on the south side of the Community Center, will have a work day for gardeners and volunteers on Saturday, April 21 to prepare the beds with fresh soil and plantings for warm weather crops like tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, lettuce, okra, eggplants etc. In the event of inclement weather, Saturday, April 28 has been designated as a make-up day. 
Gardeners should bring their gardening fees for the year, their plants, rakes and gardening implements as well as wheelbarrows. Gardeners will be provided with a brown bag lunch and must RSVP to (918) 272-3903 to reserve a lunch. Throughout the growing season work days are scheduled and gardeners are expected to participate to maintain the garden area.

RAM ACADEMY DINNER & SILENT AUCTION
Owasso Ram Academy is hosting its fourth annual Dinner & Silent Auction on Saturday, April 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are on sale at the school office for $25. Corporate table sponsorships are available starting at $100. 
Auction items include vacation packages to the Kansas City, St. Louis, and Dallas areas (including KC Royal tickets, St. Louis Cardinal tickets, and Texas Ranger tickets). Other items include a foursome to The Patriot golf course, one night at the Hard Rock Casino, one night at the Price Tower in Bartlesville, tickets to the Tulsa Shock and the Tulsa 66ers, a Tulsa Drillers fan pack, two Owasso Ram athletic season passes, jewelry, Owasso Ram apparel, various gift baskets, books, gardening supplies, miscellaneous gift certificates and other items.

FAIR TRADE COFFEE HOUSE NIGHT
OpenTable UCC in Owasso will host a Fair Trade Coffee House Night from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, April 14.
“All are invited to come, sample fair trade coffee from Equal Exchange, to kick off OpenTable UCC’s new Fair Trade Coffee and Chocolate Mission. Fair trade means that the farmers and producers of these products were paid fair prices to support a living wage while working in ethical working conditions,” said Kimberly Densmore, chair of the mission.
The come-and-go event will include live music and board games. The $5 admission includes a cup of fair trade coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and a dessert. Refills are $1. Fair trade coffee, tea, chocolate, homemade pies and baked goods, and gifts will be on sale and other items will be available to be ordered. 
Proceeds will benefit the United Church of Christ Coffee Project and the local missions of OpenTable UCC, which range from fighting hunger among elementary children to providing a safe place for local teens.

SPRING EXTRAVAGANZA
Cornerstone Christian Academy’s Open House and Spring Extravaganza will be held Saturday, April 14, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include a blood drive, job fair (businesses still needed), free immunizations, adult and children’s health screenings, business fair (booth space still available), kids’ fair, garage sale, silent auction and door prizes. The Owasso Fire Department and other local and non-profit businesses will be represented.

OGA GAME DAY
The Owasso Golden Agers are hosting a Game Day to kick off Tuesday Game Days at the Owasso Community Center, 301 South Cedar, just south of Fire Station #2 off 76th Street. 
The kick off for Tuesdays Game Day will be held Tuesday, April 24, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is for all area adults who want to get together to have fun playing the games of their choice. Prizes will be awarded while they last to game winners.  
Lunch is available and can be ordered by adults 60 and older by calling (918) 272-3903 by Friday, April 20. Adults younger than 60 are encouraged to bring their lunch or purchase lunch from one of the local food stores close to the Center.
